Y5 1st - 5th June

Date: 29th May 2020 @ 10:40am

Good Morning Year 5

Now that the school has opened to more pupils, Mr Houston will be busy teaching the children in his 'bubble' so I will now be delivering the home learning for you. This will be a lovely way for me to get to know some of you better before you return to Year 6.

I will be posting a weekly blog each Monday. Attached to this blog will be different tasks for you to complete throughout the week...at your own pace. Remember, this work is there as guidance and for you to have a go at when it is suitable at home.

If any of you would like a Maths No Problem Workbook to work through at home, please can someone come and collect it from the school office. If you would like another exercise book to write in, you can also come and collect one of those from the school office.

This week, I would like you work through the following tasks. Remember, a bit each day is better than ploughing through it all at once.

* Maths No Problem: Chapter 10 - Position and Movement - Worksheet 1 - 5

* Mathletics - these will be weekly tasks (not daily as previously)

* 5 A Day

* Spellodrome - these will be weekly tasks

* SPAG sheet

* Comprehension x 2

* Writing Tasks x 2

* Topic Task

* Reading - try to read for at least 20 mins every day

All of the tasks mentioned above (apart from Mathletics and Spellodrome) are attached to this blog.

Please do not think that you are expected to print out all of the sheets - you can simply write your answers in to your exercise book.

There will be a discussion page set up for the week (dated 1st - 5th June). This page is for you to communicate with me. You can ask any questions, make comments or upload images and work to this page.

I hope that it all makes sense as it is slightly different to what you have been receiving prior to the wider re-opening of school. Remember, if you have any questions, please add them to the discussion page and I will get back to you as always.

In the mean time, stay safe and healthy.

Love from Mrs Walker xxx
