Autumn Term 2
So much learning has already taken place and the pupils in Year 6 have made a fantastic start to the academic year...so let's keep this up!
We will continue our learning about WWII (which the children are thoroughly enjoying) and I am already seeing so much progress with their writing.
The children will continue to be given spellings every Monday - please practise these at home and ensure that the sentences they write to support this are developed and interesting.
This half term's homework project can be found on this page and a copy is displayed in the classroom window. If last half term's projects are anything to go by, these are going to be amazing! I cannot wait to see what they produce.
Revision books to support the learning in Year 6 have now been ordered so the children can look forward to practising their key skills in both school and at home. Thank you for supporting us with this at home!
We have several exciting events to look forward to this half term, including The B Tales production during anti-bullying week and a history workshop in school to support their learning about WWII...and of course it will soon be Christmas! I am sure that the children will thoroughly enjoy designing and making their own Christmas stockings.
With so much to do and enjoy, I am sure that this is going to be a very eventful and interesting half term.
If you have any questions regarding your child's learning this half term, please be in touch.
