Year 5 2023 - 2024

Mr Houston

A warm welcome back Year 5

Welcome back!  I hope you have had a fabulous break and have come back refreshed and ready for Autumn two.  After the success of the first seven weeks, I can't wait to see what you achieve and what you accomplish!

We have so much to look forward to this half term.  In science, we will learn all about the properties of materials. We have a number of experiments to design.  In Geography, we will be looking at the impact of regeneration on our local environment.  We have a visit to Media City and Salford Quays to support our learning.  Our main religion in RE this half term is Christianity and we will be answering the unit question, 'If God is everywhere, why go to a place of worship?'

If you have any questions or queries, there are lots of people who can support you.

With an adult, take time to read the homework project information and the curriculum newsletter attached to this page, for more information on what we will cover over the coming weeks.
