Pancake Day

Class: Nursery Year: 2018-2019

Nursery have celebrated Pancake Day! We learnt why Pancake Day is celebrated and we made some pancakes! We put flour, eggs and milk into a bowl and whisked it up into a batter. We used a ladle to put some batter into the frying pan and waited for the pancake to cook. We were amazed at how pancakes can be flipped. We all wanted a go, we waited until the pan and a pancake was cool and all the children had a go! The children really enjoyed watching their friends doing some fantastic flipping! The children had a choice of toppings, chocolate spread was definitely the favourite! Everybody enjoyed eating the pancakes. We also made some pancake pictures and read ‘Mr Wolfs pancakes’.
