Sport Premium
The Government provides additional funding to primary schools through the PE and Sport Premium to help improve the quality of physical education, physical activity and school sport for all pupils.
This funding enables schools to enhance their PE provision, increase participation in physical activity and sport, develop staff expertise and provide a wider range of sporting opportunities for children. Below, you can find information about the funding allocated to Wardley, how it has been spent and the impact it has had on our pupils and school community.
At Wardley, we are committed to providing high-quality PE and sporting experiences for every child. We aim to ensure that all pupils develop the confidence, skills and enthusiasm needed to lead active and healthy lifestyles. Through inclusive PE lessons, extracurricular clubs, competitive sport and active play opportunities, we encourage children to enjoy being active and to achieve their personal best.
Our commitment to physical education and school sport is reflected in our School Games Gold Mark Award, recognising the wide range of opportunities we provide and our dedication to promoting participation, achievement and wellbeing through sport. We continue to invest in developing an engaging and inclusive sports offer that enables all children to experience success and develop a lifelong love of physical activity.
