Year 2’s Great Fire of London Projects

This half term, Year 2 have been learning all about the Great Fire of London — and their projects have been amazing! .

Our classroom has been transformed with incredible models of Tudor houses and London streets. The attention to detail has been amazing — some even included tiny flames and lights.

Some children wrote detailed diary entries using the work of Samuel Pepys as their inspiration or wrote about the events surrounding the fire.  Whilst others produced striking artwork showing the dramatic scenes of 1666.

I am so proud of their creativity and hard work — what a brilliant way to end the half term!
