Year 2 "The First Flight"

In History we have been thinking about "How did the first flight change the world?"  The children have absolutely loved this topic and created some brilliant projects using written work and craft ideas.  They have written about the Wright Brothers and designed aeroplanes based on their first plane - the Wright Flyer 1.  They have created projects about Alcock and Brown's Atlantic flight and made some models of their plane - the Vickers Vimy twin-engined biplane.  They have also made modern Airbus planes and created their own timelines.  The children loved talking about their projects and sharing what they had found out.  I think you will all agree that the children have put lots of time and effort into producing all of these fabulous things!  Well done Year 2!
