World Book  Day 2022

The children, as always, blew us away with their creativity this year for World Book Day. 

As well as coming into school dressed as their favourite book character, the children were invited to design a poster to promote their love for reading.

We were overwhlemed by the response.

The teachers shared their favourite childhood books with the children this morning in our collective worship and have hopefully inspired some of the children to go away and read a new book.

In class, the children have been getting creative making reading related crafts including bookmarks, mini-books, posters and writing book reviews. 

We hope that today has continued to spark the excitement for reading which we already have here at Wardley and the many book recommendations have inspired the children to pick up a new book.
