Welcome to Year 5

Hello children.

I’m so glad I get to be your new teacher. I can’t wait to meet you!

What a strange time this has been.  I hope you are all safe and well.  Miss Hay and Mr T have been keeping my up to date with all the work you have completed and all the adventures you have been on.  I can't wait to hear all about your experiences when you return.  I wonder what special things are interesting to you. What do you like to do in your free time?  What books do you like to read? What would you like to learn more about?

I’ve been busy in our classroom getting things ready for us to learn together.  I have attached a couple of images to show you your new classroom.  We sit in rows in Year 5, which will be usual for some of you.  I am sure at some point over the year you will all have your wonderful work on our working walls.  On the first day of school, I will meet you in our classroom at 8:40am.  

If you are thinking the same as me, you can't wait to return to school.  We have many exciting topics, experiences and hopefully class visits planned over the coming year.  I think we’re going to have a great year together and I can’t wait to get to know all of you. We’re all going to make a fantastic team!

If you would like to do some research over the summer period, our first topic is all about Anglo-Saxon life and Space and the Solar System is our science unit of work.
