Treat Day in Year 3

Today we celebrated filling our marble jar with a special ‘Treat Day’.

After collecting 100 marbles, the children chose a number of fun activities to enjoy during the day. They also came to school in their own clothes, onesies, costumes and even pyjamas.

In the morning, they played with Lego, drew and coloured pictures, played with their toys, got a little crafty and shared and munched their tasty treats. We all joined in with Bingo! Kason made a clean sweep…twice!  We had a play on the chrome books too.  We sang along to Dance Monkey, Blank Space and Murder on the Dancefloor and I pretended I knew the words so I looked super cool…I didn’t have a clue!

In the afternoon, the children played a few games of ‘Corners’ in the hall (biome edition) and watched a film on Netflix while munching away on Mrs Donovan’s award-winning cakes and Mr Tinkler’s world famous sausage rolls.

Here is what the children thought.

 On a personal note, I would like to say what wonderful children you have.  They were so kind to each other and I loved watching them have a great time with their fun day. Oh, and whatever they tell you, they are fantastic at tidying up.

The children are hoping to gain another 100 marbles so they can enjoy another Treat Day in the Summer Term.
