Safer Internet Day

Date: 11th Feb 2020 @ 2:31pm

Today, we have been doing activities around 'Safer Internet Day.'

We first discussed what an identity is and how when we are online, we create an online identity. This could be through emojis, profile pictures or characters we use. Next, we talked about how it is important to stay safe online and how we can do this by not giving out personal information.

We then moved on to discuss how when we interact with people online, we are creating an online reputation. People can form opinions about us and this can affect us when we are looking for jobs in the future. We imagined we were a big boss of a company and rated some online identities based on their usernames, behaviour and respect to others to see who would be the most suitable candidate for our job.

Well done for your hard work and sensible thinking Year 4.
