Remembrance Day

Date: 10th Nov 2023 @ 2:18pm

In school today, we took time to reflect on Remembrance Day and why we still think about our fallen soldiers from wars in the past. We also spoke about peace and the importance of learning from past conflicts.

At 11am, we held a two minutes silence.

Pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 stood in silence on the school playground to pay their respects. Pupils in the earlier years did this in their classrooms.

Our Year 6 pupils stood in God's Garden to pay their respects.

They shared a Remembrance Prayer with the school and wore their poppies ( hand-made by Max's grandma) with pride.

We have been selling poppies and associated items in school over the last two weeks. We have been amazed at the uptake of these items and know that we have raised hundreds of pounds for the Royal British Legion. We will update everyone once we have a final figure. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed and supported this very worthy cause.
