Year 6 International Day of Mathematics 2023

Date: 14th Mar 2023 @ 5:33pm

Today is International Day of Mathematics - 3/14/23 or 'Pi' day as the date can be represented as 3.14.

In Year 6 we have celebrated mathematics and all the doors it can open in later life.

We started the day by watching a video about how thinking logically and looking at things mathematically can be useful in so many different jobs.

We then moved on to creating posters using images to represent simple equations - take a look at our fantastic creations in the images below. One of our posters will be selected as a winner in this Friday's celebration assembly...I wonder which one will win? Watch this space...

Finally, we registered our school onto the global map with international schools before using a net to create our own globes. Although frustrating at times, we had great fun with this task, especially when we got to throw them up in air :)
