International Day of Mathematics in Year 2

International Day of Mathematics (IDM) is recognised worldwide. It is an opportunity to celebrate the essential role that mathematics plays in the world of science, technology and daily life. This year's main theme is Mathematics and Hope. Another idea celebrated is the "circularity" of mathematics. Therefore, the children coloured in posters based on IDM's "circular" rosette pattern. The children also designed their own spirograph patterns. Year 2 had a fabulous day and really enjoyed using mathematics to created some amazing patterns and designs.
