Friday 27th March

Date: 27th Mar 2020 @ 8:00am

Good morning Year 4!

I hope you are all managing to get outside and get some sunshine.

I have been doing PE with Joe every morning at 9am, why not join me? You can find it live on YouTube on his channel Body Coach TV. It has been helping me feel more energised and ready for the day!

Today, can you log on to Mathletics and complete the activity that has been set. Why not play some games with people around the world and see how many points you can score? Can you also practise some times tables this morning, focusing on your 8s and 12s. You can use times tables rockstars and try and chant them like we do in class.

I would also like you to do some descriptive writing. I have saved an image to this blog of a river. Imagine you are sat by the river looking, listening and touching it. What is it like? Can you use similes and adjectives to describe what you can see, hear and touch? Some of you may also want to try and include some personification. Remember to check your punctuation and spelling carefully afterwards.

One last thing, I'd like you to do some reading. Twenty minutes of reading a day will keep your mind well stimulated as well as a little bit of maths and writing. If you have a younger sibling, you could read to them or go in the garden and read outside. That is one of my favourite things to do!

Take your time with your work, do it at a leisurely pace and have lots of fun today. I will write again on Monday.

Have a great weekend.

Miss Hay :)
