European Languages Day

Date: 28th Sep 2023 @ 10:38pm

Earlier this week, we celebrated European Languages Day.  Year 5 spent the afternoon focusing on their curriculum language, French.

Our pupils already had a great knowledge about some of France's history.  We discussed Queen Marie Antoinette and "Let them eat cake" (We enjoyed eating our chocolate brioche), the French Revolution and Napoleon Bonaparte and the Battle of Waterloo.

They also listened to the French National Anthem - La Marseillaise - before creating their own French flags - The Tricolour - and writing information about themselves on the back.
