Design and Technology - Motorised Cars

Date: 21st Dec 2022 @ 8:16am

This week in school we have had a Design and Technology focus. To support our science curriculum, we have been investigating simple machines in order to design, build, test and evaluate a pulley-driven motorised vehicle.

The children have really enjoyed learning and developing practical skills including using junior hacksaws.  The have combined a pulley system with electric circuits to make their vehicles.  It has been brilliant to see them problem solve and support each other all with a smile on their faces.

I have attached a small number of images, with images of the finished cars to follow.
