Courageous Advocates in Year 3

Date: 2nd Nov 2021 @ 8:36am

Courageous Advocates promotes the children's understanding of the world they live in and the many issues that arise such as climate change, deforestation, poverty and pollution.  As well as global issues, there are local problems that could be addressed such as litter, road safety and the decline of bees.

During collective worship, children from Year 6 have been explaining some of these issues and suggesting ways in which we could tackle them.  This has resulted in some fabulous written work from the children in Year 3 and has given them plenty to think about.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Courageous Advocates from Year 6 into the classroom.  They spent time talking to the children and developed their understanding of some of the important issues mentioned before.

A few children have expressed their desire to become a Courageous Advocate and share their thoughts with the school.  This is fabulous.  So, if you and your child wish to research one of these issues, or something similar, and present it to the school, that would be wonderful.

Please let me know your idea and I can give you a few pointers.  Please look at the photographs below that show the fabulous work we have produced.

I look forward to hearing your ideas.
