Art Club at Wardley
Autumn Term
This half term, the Wardley Art Club have created some outstanding works of art.
They have studied 19th Century artists such as Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh and artist, poet and textile designer William Morris; both of which have inspired beautiful floral paintings and stunning mixed-media starry nights.
The artists have also enjoyed making jelly prints with coloured ink and used pencils, oil pastels and pencil crayon in their little sketch books.
Our artists have used pattern, shape, line, colour and texture to produce some stunning masterpieces.
Our artists thought:
‘Art club is so much fun and we get to learn about different artists every week.’ Letty van Gogh
‘I like painting with all the colours.’ Quinn Monet
‘I like looking at the different pictures and painting them.’ Reggie Da Vinci
‘I enjoyed doing the jelly prints because I like using the different colours.’ Tyrus Picasso
‘I like copying the artists paintings. It is fun and I love painting.’ Bobby Lowry
‘I have been at Art Club for over a year now because I like learning new skills. I loved drawing the still life with fruit.’ Jeevan O’Keeffe
We have some fabulous artists in school. So why not get creative yourself? Get a free paint set for joining! There are still some spaces left if you would like to join our Wardley Art Club. It takes place after school every Wednesday. Go onto the school website to join up. We would love to see you there.
Finally, please look at our amazing photographs – quite the art gallery I am sure you would agree.
