08.10.21 COLLECTIVE WORSHIP - TRUSTING GOD WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH

Date: 11th Oct 2021 @ 9:10am

Over this half-term we are looking at the Christian value of trust. In our collective worship this week, we thought about what the words ‘God is my anchor’ mean to us. The children, as always, had some fantastic ideas:

‘This means that when we are scared or frightened that we can always trust in God. He will always be by our side in times of trouble and rescue us in times of need’ Y1.

‘It means that if we trust in God he will rescue us if we need his help.’ Molie Y2.

‘God is my anchor because he keeps me steady in the ground and I know he will never let go and I can rely on him with my problems.’’ Jack H Y4.

‘The words God is my anchor means that even in the darkest of times you can always rely on God no matter what has happened because he is there for you.’ Evie T Y5.

‘I think that ‘God is my anchor’ means that God makes you strong mentally. Anchors are strong and keep you in place as well as guiding us the right way, just like God keeps us in the right direction and the right pathway.’ Mollie Y6.
