Year 6: Working Hard Towards SATs

Date: 13th Feb 2026 @ 2:06pm

Year 6 have been showing fantastic determination and maturity as they continue working towards their SATs.  The children have been putting in tremendous effort across all subjects. Every day, they are building their confidence and strengthening key skills in:

  • Arithmetic and mathematical reasoning

  • Reading comprehension

  • Grammar, punctuation and spelling

  • Extended writing

We have been reminding the children that SATs are simply an opportunity to showcase everything they have learned throughout primary school. Their resilience, positive attitude and willingness to challenge themselves have been wonderful to see.

The class has particularly impressed us with their mature, supportive approach — encouraging one another, celebrating progress and demonstrating a real growth mindset.

Have a well-deserved rest Year 6.
