Year 6 Healthy Sleep Workshop

Today, Year 6 welcomed Salford iThrive to learn about healthy sleep.
During the session, pupils explored what happens to our bodies and brains when we are asleep, how much sleep we need at different ages, and why it can sometimes be difficult to fall or stay asleep. They also learned some top tips for improving sleep and developing healthy bedtime routines.
Top five tips
1: Make your bedroom a clean & calm space
2: try not to eat or drink too close to bedtime
3: stay off devices close to bedtime The blue light from screens trick our brains into thinking it is daytime!
4: stick to consistent bedtimes and bedtime routines
5: try out calming breathing techniques
