Y6 Prayer Space

Date: 18th Oct 2021 @ 1:54pm

This morning our senior pupils visited the rest of the classes to share their prayer space. Building on from last week's courageous advocates, they decided to focus on the beauty of our world and why we should cherish it. After looking at some beautiful images, the children were asked to focus their minds and see which image they were most drawn to...and why. Pupils from Y1 - Y6 joined in with this reflective session with children commenting things like, 'The glorious sunshine looks like God is watching over us, keeping us safe each and every day.'

The senior pupils then shared a prayer with the classes, thanking God for our beautiful planet to ask for His help and guidance as we try to save it.

Finally, pupils across the school wrote their own prayers on paper leaves. Some have been placed in the class journal, some will be hung on the class trees and others will be laminated and hung in God's Garden. We hope that the chidlren will take some time to read and reflect the words of the prayers while they have some quiet time in this lovely space.
