A lovely, sunny Tuesday morning to you all.

It looks like quite a few of you have made a great start on this week’s learning; well done! As we approach Friday, I wonder what your plans are for the 75th anniversary of VE Day. It looks like the weather is going to continue to be kind to us, so I hope that many of you are planning something fun. Both myself and Mr Walker have the day off on Friday, se we’re planning a family fun day…I’m sure there’ll be a bbq J

Today, as I am at home, I am hoping to get some time to be creative with Tom and George. We’re going to make some flags and bunting for Friday and after seeing Max’s AMAZING window display, we might make something for our window too.

For those of you who are budding astronomers, tonight’s full moon is a Supermoon (meaning it is at its closest to the earth) and it’s the last Supermoon of the year – so make sure that you take a look. As the skies are so clear, you will also be able to see Mars, Jupiter and Saturn at dawn tonight and at 10pm, there’s going to be a meteorite shower! Maybe some of you will take a look. We will J

As always, today’s tasks are there to keep you busy and to keep your brains active. Don’t worry if you don’t get through everything, just do your best and stay happy and healthy x

Wednesday’s Tasks:

  1. Mathletics & Spellodrome tasks
  2. BBC Bitesize – take a look at their grammar tasks in the Y6 English folder. There’s lots of fun games and activities and it will help to jog your memory of the different terms.
  3. Writing Task – What is VE Day? – in the homework folder
  4. Discussion task – in the discussion folder
  5. 5 A Day – in the homework folder
  6. Craft task – design a VE Day poster – in the homework folder

Keep up all the great work. It has lovely to speak to so many of you and your parents. I still have a few of you who I haven’t got round to – don’t worry, I will.

Miss you all!

George’s Joke of the Day:

Why did the jelly bean go to school?

Because he wanted to be a Smartie – hahahaha!
