Y6 11th May 2020

Date: 10th May 2020 @ 6:06pm

Monday 11th May 2020

Can you believe that today would have been the start of SATs week?! This morning you would have been taking your SPAG paper followed by the spelling test!

With that in mind, I would like to access BBC Bitesize, English, Y6, SPAG  and complete some of their games and tasks this week – it’s been a while since we focused on this so it will do you some good to revise areas of it.

So…how did your VE Day celebrations go? I am really looking forward to reading about what you got up to in your diary writing task. We had a street party (socially distancing of course) and a BBQ. We also decorated the front of our house. Once my boys have written their diary entry, I will post them in the homework folder for you to have a read of if you want to.

I have a list of tasks for you to be getting on with today if you’re able to. Remember, just do your best and access what you can. I have been so pleased with your overall efforts during this lockdown – you’ve done us all proud Y6!

Monday’s Tasks:

  1. Mathletics – Mr Foster has set new tasks (remember that you can also access Times Tables Rockstars and play the challenging games if you want to keep your brains active)
  2. Spellodrome – this week’s new words have been added so log on and have a go.
  3. Writing Tasks – the 2 pieces from last week are in the homework folders – get on with / complete those.
  4. Craft Task – I have posted a new craft task in the homework folder J
  5. 5 A Day – I have attached this week’s 5 A Day at the bottom of this blog
  6. MNP – Unit 8, lesson 6 – comparing numbers
  7. Reading – keep up with your reading (even if it  is just for 20 mins)
  8. BBC Bitesize – SPAG activities and games

Have a great Monday and stay safe.

Lots of love and happy thoughts.
