Y5 Bikeability
Date: 10th Oct 2025 @ 3:22pm
This week, a large number of our Year 5 children completed Bikeability  - the government’s national cycle training programme.
It aims to help children learn practical skills and understand how to cycle on today’s roads.
They spent a number of sessions gaining confidence cycling round obstacles on the playground before safely showing off their newly acquired skills round the estate and beyond.
The instructors were incredibly impressed with the children's behaviour and listening skills. They were wonderful ambassadors for our school.
Well done, Year 5!
Bikeability Level 2 teaches you to:

Understand the road: signals, signs and road markings
Negotiate the road: including quiet junctions, crossroads and roundabouts
Share the road with other vehicles
