Wellbeing Day in Year 3

Date: 4th Nov 2025 @ 1:43pm

Year 3 Wellbeing Day

‘Give’

Our first day back, after the half term, is Wellbeing Day. Today, our focus was on ‘Give’ from the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. We engaged in several fun activities which saw the children learn about friendship, kindness and gratitude.

Firstly, the children made colourful Thank You Cards for staff, family and friends or classmates. They were allowed to express their appreciation and gratitude with drawings and short messages.

Next, we designed Friendship Bracelets, promoting a culture of giving and kindness, and building relationships with other children they would not usually talk to or play with.

Finally, we made Drawings of a picture that represented giving or sketched a short story about a time they experienced giving or receiving kindness. We will share these later on in the week.

Here is what Year 3 thought:

“I enjoyed the morning because I got to make a bracelet for my friend.”

“We got to get out of our normal school work.”

“I like to draw and colour so this was perfect.”

“I made a Thank You card for my friend because he is kind.”

“I made a friendship bracelet for someone different.”

“It was fun making things for friends and teachers who help us.”

“Wellbeing Day helps us get back into school from a long break.”

Thank you all for an amazing first day back.  It was so nice to see you all and catch up on your half-term shenanigans and werewolf encounters. Back to work tomorrow!
