 Hello Year 5

My son had a bit of a wobble yesterday.  He is missing his friends and his family so we sat down and talked about it for a while, went out for some fresh air and had an early night, which seems to have done the trick.

I am in school today so hopefully I will spend some time with a number of you.  I will also try and contact a few families (I am working my way through the list) to ensure all is well.

Whilst I am in school, I would like you to –

  • Comment on the class discussion.  Those who have commented, I have replied so please revisit – the more comments the merrier.
  • Continue with this week’s 5 a day
  • Continue with Mathletics – today’s activities are ‘Mental Multiplication Methods’ and ‘Mental Division Methods’.
  • Maths No Problem - Lesson 2 - Reading and Writing Decimals from workbook 5B.
  • Continue to test your spelling knowledge on Spellodrome.  I can’t see the results at the moment so this gives you all an extra day to see who tops the scoring charts.
  • Craft Project - Olivia has produced a fabulous piece of Maya artwork.  Mr T would be proud!
  • There will be a new writing homework task on School Spider later today.  There will be another one set on Thursday, and the deadline for both is Monday 4th May.

Have a great, productive day.

Stay safe.
