Team 1 have been working so hard this term! 🌟
Date: 17th Dec 2025 @ 11:24am
In Geography, the children have been learning about the continents and oceans and where they are in the world. In Maths, they have been adding and subtracting within 20 and showing great progress with their number skills.
In English, we have been learning to read using a storyteller’s voice, focusing on fluency and expression. The children have also been using play dough and fun games to help them learn and practise their phonic sounds.
We have been practising the values of the Wardley Way:
-
Be a good friend
-
Be respectful
-
Have courage
-
Persevere
-
Trust one another
Through our reading of stories such as Ruby’s Worries and My Monster, we have talked about how worries get smaller when we talk about them. The children drew their own worry monsters, which was absolutely adorable! Some children drew themselves holding hands with their worry monster, while others added love hearts to show kindness and care. We talked about how we don’t need to be afraid of our worries and how we can look after them.
Thank you, Team 1, for working so hard – we are very proud of you!
Love Ms Mitchell and Mrs Powis 💛
