Sports Day 2020

Date: 25th Jun 2020 @ 11:11am

Wednesday 1st July - Sports Day for all those children who are in school and an invite for those children who are at home to join in as well.

Attached are short videos that demonstrate each of the 6 planned events - please have a watch.

Event 1 - Knees Up (10:00am)

Can you complete 30 knees up in one minute? If you can, it is one point for your class team.

Event 2 - Balls in a Basket (10:15am)

Throw 3 balls (or paired up socks if you're at home) in to a basket. One point for every ball or pair of socks that successfully lands in the basket.

Event 3 - Sack Race (10:30am)

If you're at home, use a pillow case :) One lap of the garden or living room = 1 point for your class team.

Event 4 - Star Jumps (10:45am)

Can you complete 30 star jumps in 1 minute? If so, you get 1 point for your team.

Event 5 - Burpees Challange (11:00am)

Can you complete 20 burpees in 1 minute? If so, you get 1 point for your team.

Event 6 - Hurdles (11:15am)

Place 4 - 6 hurdles (these can be cushions or teddies if you're at home) about 2m apart- run and jump over them! If you succeed, it's one point for your class team.

Parents with pupils at home - you can email your child's scores to the school office on wardley.ceprimaryschool@salford.gov.uk

We would love you to send us photos of your children participating at home and we will upload them to the website.

At the end of the day, I will collect all of the scores and the class with most points will win!

Due to the current restrictions, we are unable to invite parents on to the school grounds to watch the Sports Day in action, but we will upload lots of photos for you to look at.

We look forward to a great day and to seeing how those of you who are at home join in - remember, all you need to do is email in your child's points for each event to the school office before 2:00pm.

Many Thanks - the children in school are very excited; we hope that those of you who are home are too.
