Science in Year 4!

Date: 18th Mar 2022 @ 3:20pm

Science has been very exciting this half-term. Last week, the children created an experiment to test whether drinks could be damaging to the enamel of our teeth. We set up a fair test with eggs (to act as teeth) and different liquids. A week later, we found that drinks high in sugar and acid were very bad for our teeth and did some very strange things to our eggs! This showed us that our teeth will decay if we drink too many of these drinks and don’t brush our teeth!

Today, we were looking at the digestive system and got to make poo! We showed how food travels from our mouth all the way to the toilet. The children had lots of fun and learnt lots of scientific names for parts of our digestive system.
