Reception 23.04.20

Date: 23rd Apr 2020 @ 9:04am

Happy Thursday,

I have no new stories to tell today, yesterday got better after my egg incident and I managed to eat a chocolate egg later in the day with a cuppa =)

I hope your board games are coming along nicely! You could even write down the rules to your game and then when we eventually get back to school we could maybe do a swap? Try and turn an afternoon into a games afternoon, yippee!

Maths
I have uploaded a tens and ones sheet for you to work on today. This was another area we had been exploring in maths. I would take a new number each day, for example 33. I would then ask how many 10’s were in the number and how many ones were in the number and then I would draw (not very well) the corresponding picture.
As an extension you could get your adult to write some more numbers in your yellow books and then you draw the tens and ones underneath.
Have fun =)

Reading and writing
Did any of you manage to have a look at the RWI videos I talked about yesterday? I sent the link to my sister so that she could show them to my niece. She said that she did them at different times of the day and they wrote a rhyming string for some of the different sounds. I thought that would be good for us to do as well. Choose a sound and think of as many words you can that have that sound in and rhyme (do this in your yellow books).

Have fun =)
