Nursery Wellbeing Session

Wellbeing session

The children have been having lots of fun exploring their breath with a practice called Teddy Breathing. They were extremely sensible and found their own space to lie down in. After popping their teddy on their tummy, they were asked to see if they could notice how it moves while they were breathing.

Next, they were challenged to see if they could stay with the full cycle of one breath after another. If they noticed that their attention had wandered off to something else, they were asked to see if they could bring it back to watching the teddy and noticing what was happening to it.

Afterwards, when the children shared what they had noticed, they were able to say that they could see their tummy going up and down while they were breathing. Some children said that they found in relaxing and felt calm.

As always, they were a real joy to teach!
