Good morning boys and girls,
Happy Monday!
This week, some of our activities are going to be based on the book 'More Pants' by Giles Andreae (we have already ready 'Pants' by the same author and the children loved it, so this one should go down well). There are videos on Youtube of it being read such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGBasPePTj0 (Parents - you might want to mute it and simply read it as normal to your child).
In the story, there are all sorts of weird and wonderful pants... Yellow submarine pants, party pants, and even dinosaur pants! For your arty challenge this week, I would like you to design your very own part of funny pants and give them a name. They could be anything you wanted - the funnier, the better! (Parents - I have attached a blank template of some pants on this blog for you to use).
For the rest of the week, I will post challenges linked to 'More Pants' such as looking at rhyme and making repeating patterns, as well as a phonics activity on Tuesday looking at our next sound.
Have fun decorating your pants! I'd love to see some of them when you've finished. I will make a new class discussion for this week where you can post a picture of your finished pants for your friends to see.
