My First Day in Year 3

What a busy day we have had today.  So many new routines to keep us safe but it has not stopped us having a fantastic first day.

We have tackled some tricky maths and written some fantastic fact-files about ourselves while learning a bit more about our teacher.  We have new reading books too.

‘I felt a bit nervous before I came to school but then my feelings started to change’ Athena

‘I was sad to leave home but school has made me happy’ Esme

‘I was a bit scared to come in on the first but I have really enjoyed it’ Frankie

‘I was looking forward to my new class, new teacher and packed lunches for the first time’ Max

‘I enjoyed the assembly with Mr Foster on the screen’ Matthew

‘I am looking forward to going home and coming to school on Monday’ Riley

We have also been reminding ourselves of ‘The Wardley Way’.  These are a set of 5 values which underpin everything we do within the school day.

The values are as follows.

1. Friendship

2. Courage

3. Perseverance

4. Respect

5. Trust

We are going to create a thoughtful prayer based on the 4th value, respect.

We have also created a set of 5 class rules based around each value in turn. We are looking forward to life in Year 3 and living life The Wardley Way.
