Good morning Team 1

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Have you heard about the latest craze? It’s rainbow hair! Children have been temporally dying their hair using either food colouring or tissue paper in support of the NHS.

Newsround want to see these ‘lockdown locks’ and children can upload pictures of their rainbow hair to their site.

If you like the sound of this, tell your parents to go on the link below as it tells them all they need to know about this new craze that’s sweeping the nation.

Parents/Carers

The range of activities below are ideas which your child can be getting on with throughout the week. Please pick and choose what best suits the needs and time of your family. You do not need to do everything.

Furthermore, please don’t feel you can’t set your child off on a task and leave them to it. This is actually an important skill as it develops independent learning. In class I have a sigh on the wall which says:

3 Before Me

(If the children ask me a question, I’ll reply, ‘Have you done three before me?’)

  1. Use your brain (have a good think)
  2. Use a resource (a book, number square etc)
  3. Ask your buddy (they could ask someone at home)

If they haven’t been able to figure out the answer after trying these three strategies, they can then ask me.

Also, there work doesn’t have to be perfect.
