Good morning boys and girls and happy Monday!

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and are ready for today's challenge to get the week off to a great start.

Today, I am going to post 2 challenges for you. 1 will be a home learning activity like the ones from last week and the second will be a creative challenge, which I will post each Monday.

For your home learning challenge, I would like you to use the pictures that I gave you in your packs. Using these pictures, see if you can work out what sound each of them begins with. Remember, they could be bouncy first sounds (b...b...bouncy, d...d...dog) or they could be long and stretchy first sounds (sssstretchy, rrrrainbow). For an extra challenge, can you sound out some of the words and have a go at writing them in your books? Don't forget to use your sound books to remind what the different letters look like.

For your creative challenge, you're going to be getting your hands a bit messy! This week, I want you to have a go at making your own playdough! You'll need a grown up's help as it needs heating up. It's super easy and only needs 5 ingredients:

- 8 tbsp plain flour

- 2 tbsp salt

- 60ml warm water

- food colouring

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil

See this BBC website for instructions about how to make it. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/playdough-recipe Once made, you can get endless fun out of using your playdough! Maybe you could have a go at making the troll from The Three Billy Goats Gruff!

Have a lovely day,

Miss Hargreaves :)
