Literacy Book Bench

Over the past few months, some of our children have been working with an artist called Caroline Daly to design a book bench. 

We are pleased to announce that our school's book bench has been created and it looks absolutely fantastic!

Some of our older pupils were invited along to the launch of the Book Bench Trail which will be in place over the summer in areas around Salford. Our bench will be displayed outside the Salford Civic Centre so please go along and take a look.

The design includes many features which are special to our pupils and to our school - they were particularly inspired by the woodland animals who visit our school.

The children who came along to the launch today were treated to a signed copy of 'Find Your happy' by Emily Coxhead as well as goodie bags, art sessions and few treats. 

Well done to all of the children who were involved in the creation of our bench. All of the children involved will receive a copy of Emily's book and we have a few to share around the school too.
