Hello Year 5

This week seems to have gone by really fast.  I wonder if it the same for you.

A special shout out to Kian, who this week has gone over on his ankle again.  We all wish you a speedy recovery.

Let’s have one last push to see who tops the points on Spellodrome.  If you haven’t been on this week, today is your chance.

If you are in contact with other children, who might not have been on Mathletics, give them a gentle nudge.  We have 19 children who have been on this week and who achieved some great scores.  Today, the tasks are to complete the compatible numbers (numbers that are easy to add, subtract, multiply, or divide mentally) and the end of unit test.

Just to confirm there are two pieces of writing homework on School Spider.  We have some fabulous pieces of writing uploaded on the website.  Please ensure both of these are complete by Monday 27th April.

I have enjoyed looking at your craft projects of researching, designing and making Maya jewellery.  I have seen many imaginative ways of making these from pasta, wood, metal and string.  See School Spider for Larisa’s and Olivia’s super attempts.

Have a great weekend – hopefully the rain stays away long enough for us all to play some football, do some gymnastics or complete some exercise in our yards / gardens.
