Belonging

Date: 14th Feb 2020 @ 3:41pm

In Religious Education, the children have been learning about what it means to belong to a particular faith community. In today’s lesson, the children have enjoyed learning about how babies are welcomed in different religions. In Christianity, they learnt that babies are baptised and then become part of God’s family.

In Islam they have a naming ritual where the baby’s head is shaved and the weight of the hair is given in gold to a charity.

The children talked about what they would keep from each of these occasions as a memento and then made it using clay.

They made some great models - well done Team 1.
