Dragonflies

Art is once again 'buzzing' at Wardley.  Children from KS2 have challenged their creative skills through pencil sketches, paintings and collages based on the theme of ‘Dragonflies’.  We have also studied the artist, Romero Britto, and painted some amazing pieces based on his love of shape and colour.

So far, this term, we have turned our attention to sculpture.  We have shaped wire into dragonfly shapes and have used plaster to cover parts of the head, thorax and abdomen. We will be using lots of other materials for these sculptures so watch this space.

This is a fantastically messy project (as we discovered this week…sorry) and I cannot wait to see the results.

Please feel free to come and look at the displays when the projects are completed.
