A Week of Growth and Achievement!
Date: 20th Nov 2025 @ 3:48pm
What a fantastic week it's been in Year 6! I’m so pleased with the progress the children have made, especially when it comes to their maturity and work ethic. This week, I’ve seen them show real responsibility for their learning, supporting each other and pushing themselves to do their best. It's been a real pleasure to watch them grow not just academically, but also as confident, independent learners.
One area that’s really stood out this week is arithmetic. The children have made significant strides in this area, working hard on improving their fluency with numbers. Whether it was practicing mental arithmetic or tackling more challenging problem-solving tasks, I can see that they are putting in the effort, and it’s paying off. Their focus and determination are inspiring!
This week, we also had a chance to dive deeper into science, where we’ve been learning about the circulatory system. The children have shown a keen interest in understanding how our heart works and how blood travels through our bodies.
In art, we’ve been exploring the concept of vanishing points and 3D shapes. The students have enjoyed experimenting with perspective and learning how to create the illusion of depth in their artwork. It’s been exciting to see their creativity shine through, and I’m looking forward to seeing where they take their ideas next.
Overall, it’s been a week full of hard work, progress, and enthusiasm. I’m incredibly proud of the effort and maturity the children have shown, and I can’t wait to see how much more they’ll accomplish as we move forward!
Well done, Year 6—keep it up!
