18.06.21 COLLECTIVE WORSHIP - MAKING PEACE.

Date: 18th Jun 2021 @ 9:32am

Over this half-term we are looking at the Christian value of peace. In our collective worship this week we thought about how we could resolve a disagreement between friends. The children had some fantastic ideas:

‘When me and my friend wanted to use the black pen I decided to be the bigger person and let my friend go first.’ Olivia Y2.

‘If I saw two people arguing I would take one person away and ask them what was wrong and then listen to the other before trying to sort out a fair solution.’ Thomas Y3.

‘It is sometimes best to be the bigger person and say sorry first. Then you can move on and do something different, like drawing a picture or looking at the sky.’ Harmony Y4.

‘To resolve a quarrel between friends I would talk to them about their argument and help them understand that it’s best to stay calm and apologise if they need to.’ Grace Y5.

‘To resolve a quarrel between friends, I would advise them to take some time to themselves and then go back to the situation with a clear mind and have a calm conversation with the other person.’ Orla Y6.
