Extended School Provision
At Wardley CE Primary School, we have a broad extended schools offer, which includes a Before and After School Club and an array of After School Clubs. Our aim is to balance work and family commitments, whilst offering children a broad range of experiences and inspiring interests.
The Before & After School Club
The before school club runs every morning and starts at 7.30am – 8.40am. Parents are charged £4.00 for the first child and £3.50 for siblings. Children are provided with a breakfast which will consist of toast or crumpet and a drink is also be provided.
After school club starts straight after school and finishes at 5.15pm. Children are provided with a light snack & drink. The charges for the after school club will be £6.50 and siblings will be £5.50.
A contract should be signed by parent/carers & a £10 deposit is required to secure a place. The deposit will be refunded when your child leaves the club after the required 2 week notice. Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. If you are interested in a place then please contact the office for a form or print out the form below.
After School Clubs
We have a good choice of clubs available for families to choose from on a term to term basis. Clubs range from sports to music. Children really enjoy the clubs; both for what the clubs are offering and for the social aspects.
We work closely with our providers to ensure children get the best possible experience on a week to week basis delivered by committed and quality tutors and coaches. Where possible these tutors and coaches are also supported by existing Wardley staff members.
Premier Sports
Premier sports run a range of after school sporting activities for us. The clubs change on a half-termly basis.
We will be changing the after club school clubs from Tuesday 2nd November 2022
If your child takes place in the current after school clubs these will no longer take place after the half term holiday.
The new clubs starting after the holidays are:
Monday Year 5 & 6 Football
Tuesday Year 3 & 4 Dodgeball (leading to a competition)
Wednesday Year 1 & 2 Play Active
If your child would like to take part please complete the form on the School Spider App, which will be available from 10am on Friday 14 October and will close when the clubs are full. Places are on a first come, first served basis.
Anthem Music
We have after-school music tution delivered by music tutors from Anthem Music on a Wednesday and Thursday. Please contact the school office for more information.
School Staff Clubs
We also have some after school clubs run by school staff. These currently include a netball club run by Mr D. Foster on a Thursday for the Y6 class.
