Year 3 Collective Worship - Wisdom
COLLECTIVE WORSHIP IN YEAR 3
The whole-school theme of ‘Wisdom’ finally came to a spectacular climax this Tuesday morning with the amazing Year 3 children presenting their assembly.
We were joined by and audience comprising of parents, grandparents, carers and the children of Year 4 and 5, who witnessed an extravaganza of singing and storytelling.
Jessica read well and summarised, “We worked hard learning our words at home and read them out clearly so we could get the message across.”
Imogen explained, “I was so nervous about reading in front of everyone but I was brave and I’m glad I did it.”
Erin observed, “We read some traditional proverbs, words of wisdom from our parents, we suggested how we could be wise ourselves.”
“Alfie enjoyed the singing, saying, “We created actions to help us sing the song of the wise and the foolish man. It was really fun to sing.”
The children finished the assembly with the story of the wise man, who built his house on the rocks. A metaphor for the firm foundations that comes with following Jesus.
Thank you to all those who attended and we hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed performing it for you.
