Roald Dahl Day

Roald Dahl

Celebration Day

13th September 2016

Year 3

Today, we celebrated the 100th birthday of Roald Dahl.

He was a very famous author who wrote lots of beautiful, amazing and funny stories inspired by his own life.

At the moment, we are reading Fantastic Mr Fox and later on in the year we will be looking at The Twits.

Chloe and Rhia were at peace with the mindfulness colouring and commented, “We loved it because it was so relaxing and quiet in our classroom, which is usually quite noisy.”

Lexie and Jessica said, “We enjoyed the challenge of the wordsearch.  Both of them were really tricky.”

Max and Erin made fantastic bookmarks.  They explained, “We created the Boggis’s farm and Mr Fox’s hole on our bookmarks.”

Alfie, Aiden and James used lots of their own methods to solve the maths word problems.  They said, “We used the bar method for adding and subtracting.”

All in all we had a scrumdiddlyumptious day and our behaviour was superb.
