French Afternoon

Year 6 French day

To celebrate our French Day, Year 6 made their very own Tricolour flags. We found out that the flag was first introduced during the French Revolution and that red and blue were the traditional colours of Paris. As white had been long associated with France and was known as the ‘ancient French colour’ it too was added to the flag.

During our afternoon, we learned a French song about the days, weeks, months and seasons of the year and we ate choc-au-pans; the best bit of course!
