Wardley Stars go on a tour at Manchester United
Monday, 13 February 2017
We were the group known as 'Wardley Stars' and we came up with the winning idea (a golden season ticket) during the Young Enterprise activity organised by Man Utd in partnership with TSHS. The six of us then attended the finals against 4 other schools (90 students) and the judging panel from Swinton High chose us out of everybody! We won again, that’s why we're called `Wardley Stars’. We were awarded with 2 tickets each to MUFC vs St Etienne and we also won a tour of MUFC
During the tour, we went to the Museum and we got a picture with the trophies. Then we went to the history hall and we learnt that there was a plane crash that killed 24 people.
Next we went to the stadium and we sat in the directors chairs we learnt that in WW2 the stadium got bombed by Germany and they were forced to move in with Man City for all of 1 week!
At the end we received a souvenir certificate
Best trip ever.
