    Design Technology (DT)

    Easter Cards

Design Technology is up and running at Wardley.  This is the second DT Week and all the children used their creative skills to make an Easter Card.

The children have designed cards and selected a number of techniques to produce joints and other moving parts. They practised cutting accurately and applying their ideas when encountering problems along the way.

Some children refined their cards and were able to reflect upon their success as well as evaluate their design and consider what they might do differently next time.

The photographs show just how much fun we had.

Cannot wait for DT Week towards the end of the summer term.  Watch this space…

They had smiles on their faces throughout and although they didn't make the semi-finals, they did win one game and drew a couple of the others. We were very proud of their efforts.

  • World Book Day

    Published 07/03/19, by David Foster

To celebrate World Book Day th children at Wardley all dressed up as their favourite book character. There was a whole plethora of characters resplendent in costumes both bought and home-made. We had a special assembly to announce two winners from each class and then an overall winner was picked from those two. It was a brilliant day and many thanks goes to all our parents and pupils for putting in such an effort. Amazing!
