Nine of our wonderful children helped customers at B&M bargains with their bag-packing on Sunday afternoon. They worked extremely hard and customer feedback was very positive. The children were trying to raise funds for our school. Over the whole afternoon, £300.26 was raised, which is an incredible amount.

A massive thank you to the children who took part; the staff who gave up their time; B&M Bargains and their generous customers  who contributed.

Year 5 and Year 6 had a lesson today about friendship. They explored all the reasons we have friends, how hard or easy it is to make friends and what traits make a good friend. They also explored friends online and how we need to tread carefully when calling someone a 'friend' when we have never seen them in 'real' life  before. The children enjoyed the discussions and made some very insightful comments.

Seven of our Year 5 and 6 children took part in a handball competition. They played three well-fought matches, drawing two and losing the third. They played with great spirit and a lot of skill and, with a little more luck, would have easily  made the semi-finals. As it was, we were knocked out in the group stages but we were very proud of their efforts and their attitude.

On Friday our girls took part in the start of season netball rally. They played five matches and, although they didn’t win any of their games, they played with a smile on their faces and with great sportsmanship. The girls have never played any games before and their efforts were superb given this fact. Onwards and upwards.
